My Approach
A person-centred and experiential way of working
Therapy with me is conversational, with you at the centre. It’s a space to slow down and pay attention to what feels most present in your life.
I sit alongside you as we explore what you’re carrying. Sometimes that means easing the weight of something heavy. Sometimes it means understanding yourself more clearly. Sometimes it means gently facing thoughts or feelings that feel difficult to approach alone.
What do we actually do in sessions?
Sessions are led by what feels most important to you that day. Sometimes that simply means talking through a tough week with someone who is fully present with you.
At other times, we might slow things down and stay with a feeling for a little longer. We may notice how easy or difficult it feels for you to access certain emotions. If it feels helpful, we might use tools such as an emotion wheel or simple handouts within the session, but only if they support your process. We decide that together.
Throughout our work, I reflect back what I notice and ask gentle, exploratory questions. I will also invite you to disagree with me, to correct me, and to speak from your own experience. Therapy is not about me being right; it’s about you being understood.
I don’t give homework or set tasks, and I don’t analyse you. Instead, I pay close attention to what feels present and important for you, allowing understanding to develop at a natural pace.
You also don’t need to know what to say. Often, when we give ourselves time and space, clarity begins to emerge on its own.
